The Institute of Molecular Medicine and Infectious Diseases was established by the University of Nigeria through the College of Medicine in her quest to: educate the next generation of physicians and biomedical scientists committed to serving the needs of the nation and beyond.

 

produce experts, who have knowledge and understanding of the intricate complexity of culture, society and health needed to work successfully with individuals and communities towards disease prevention, treatment and cure; and to develop an institution capable of both self-sustenance and sponsoring of programmes in the University and the country at large, especially in the health sector.
